Ponchatoula Woman Wins $740,380 Lotto Jackpot

Patsy McKnight of Ponchatoula, the sole winner of the $740,380 Lotto jackpot from the Sept. 8 drawing, claimed her prize at Louisiana Lottery Headquarters Monday.

McKnight purchased her winning ticket from Riverstop on Highway 22 in Springfield. Riverstop will receive a one-time bonus of $7,403, which is one percent of the prize, for the sale. The winning numbers for the Sept. 8 drawing were 04-13-24-25-28-36.

McKnight, age 66, received $518,266 after federal and state taxes were withheld.

Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.  Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. The Lottery encourages responsible play and urges anyone or friends of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.

More information about other Lotto winners can be found in the "Meet Our Winners" section of the Lottery's website.
